Roel Van Overmeire, MSc, is a PhD-student at the Mental Health and Wellbeing research group. He studies the impact of terrorism on health, focusing mainly on the terrorist attacks in Belgium. He uses both quantitative as well as qualitative methods. In addition to his PhD, he is study coordinator for the Big Bird Trial-project (department Huisartsengeneeskunde, VUB), as well as tutor for the first-year Medicine course Epistat. He is also involved in a project that has as goal to study the mental health of funeral employees. Currently, he is studying the mental and sexual health impact of fibromyalgia and Parkinson's disease. Finally, he is the person who will most likely update this website.
