Elke De Smedt

Elke is a physiotherapist with a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy. In 2014 she started working as an independent physiotherapist in a private practice and since 2022 she combines this with the function of research assistant on the "ACTIVE-AGE@home" project. ACTIVE-AGE@home is a home-based functional training program designed for community-dwelling frail older adults. In this project she's responsible for administering the assessments of the participants in the study. She has a high interest in working with older adults and is excited to contribute to the improvement of health care for the elderly.
